According to etymonline, every single one of these words came from adding “all” to an already existing word and shortening it. It’s gotten to the point that words like “also” and “alone” aren’t commonly recognized as coming from “all +____”.
In Only Revolutions, Danielewski does that (“allone” instead of “alone” for example). I always wondered what the purpose is/have wanted to have really deep discussions about that book but idk anyone else who has read it that I know of
